Benidorm Spain How to go there
Surrounded by up to 1558 m high mountains, Benidorm is perfectly protected against the cold north winds. Therefore, the weather in Benidorm stays very mild even through winter times.
The Old Town in particular is an evocative maze of cobbled streets and inviting establishments to drink and shop in. With its blue-domed church and white houses, it manages to retain its character amongst the forest of tower blocks to the east and west.
Cheapest way to get from Alicante airport to Benidorm:
Altet Airport is located near the city of Alicante only 60 km from Benidorm. There is a regular bus service which offers the possibility to travel quickly, comfortably and economically from Alicante airport to Benidorm and vice versa. This is probably the best way to go to Benidorm from the airport.
You can also book shuttle transfer service or take a taxi.
To get from Alicante airport to Benidorm, you can take the new Benidorm Bus from the Airport or the narrow gauge railway from downtown Alicante. The so called FGV is the little Benidorm Denia train which is also a wonderful way of getting around the Costa Blanca area.
There are daily flights to Alicante Airport from most major European cities serviced by over 30 low cost and scheduled airlines. The majority of incoming flights are from the UK which offers the best value prices due to high competition in this sector.
There are also many low cost airlines flying from various UK airports which offer great prices. There are a number of online shuttle services to Benidorm for 10 euros or less each way.
By road, Benidorm is well situated on the Mediterranean coast right by the AP7 motorway and the national road N332 which connect the Mediterranean coastline from north to south, , so that visitors travelling by car or scheduled bus service can reach the resort with ease.
There are also ports in Alicante, Altea and Villajoyosa should one wish to reach Benidorm by boat.
