Gastronomy In Benidorm
Kataria Gastronomia Hotel: Eat, Eat and Eat!

Benidorm Gastronomy
Gastronomy and eating out in Benidorm is fantastic. Benidorm and all regions of Costa Blanca have a rich cuisine. Look past the inevitable pizzas and fastfood you find in every resort, and you will see the rich gastronomic variety of the Valencia region, renowned as one of the finest in Spain and it’s easy to see why.

There are so many historic influences on the traditional cuisine from the invading Moors and the seafaring spice merchants to the fishing and agricultural heritage of the area.

Paella was born here, in all its many forms, and the excellent range of local rice dishes form the basis of a number of speciality paellas to tempt the taste buds..

Food Delights in Benidorm
Holidaymakers are able to taste all kinds of food and cuisines in the Benidorm restaurants and cafes such as British, Swedish, German, Dutch, Belgian, Italian, French, Chinese, Indian, Turkish, Argentine, Mexican and more

Given its stunning beachfront, you won't be surprised to hear there are many restaurants offering al fresco dining, allowing you to take in the spectacular views and warm weather. You will generally find the bigger, more tourist focussed restaurants around Levante & Rincon de Loix.

For a more authentic dining experience, head down to Santo Domingo, also referred to as 'Tapas Alley'. A much more relaxed dining experience, pick at numerous traditional dishes while enjoying some good wine and local beers.

A tapas trail is a great way to spend an evening sampling small dishes of delicious treats washed down with a cold cerveza or two, or some good local wine. Perfect for sharing, it’s an inexpensive and sociable way to eat – and to try something you might not have tasted before.

Fish is in plentiful supply with local catches daily offering a wide selection of the Mediterranean’s finest from the popular Red Snapper & Pumpkin Rice to succulent stuffed squid. There are also many Chinese restaurants from a fairly large Chinese community who also have shops which sell items from China. Breakfast is a favourite of many with an ample fried breakfast starting from two euros.

MI CASA
Tucked away in one of Benidorm narrow side streets is the delightful Mi Casa. This is a small restaurant which offers high quality food, cooked and prepared to use fresh local ingredients where available and is very reasonably priced.

You can get a choice of 6 tapas from the extensive tapas selection, toasted bread with garlic sauce and a bottle of wine for €19.95. As well as tapas you also have a selection of pasta, cooked meat dishes as well as fondue and salads, as well.

SPICE MANTRA
Well the British tend to eat a lot of Indian curries, so it goes to say, where there are British there is going to be a curry house somewhere! Spice Mantra is not just any Indian restaurant though and really is a jewel in Benidorm. There is warm and welcoming atmosphere here, and the prices are very reasonable, as well.

They even do a take away service if you want to take it back and eat it in your hotel or apartment. For €24.95, you can get a meal for two people, and this includes two starters, to main dishes and rice or a naan bread as well as water, two beers or half a bottle of wine.

Kataria Gastonomica hotel in Benidorm

Kataria Gastronómica
Kataria Gastronómica (0034 96 683 1372, www.katariagastronomica.com), Hotel Belroy, Avenida de Europa 5. As per Telegraph guide, it is
unexpected temple of molecular gastronomy (“a laboratory of flavours where sensations radiate”) in the English quarter. It is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Benidorm. Brilliant interiors as you can see from the photo and brilliant food.
